My first professional collaboration with David Orsini of Sunarts Design was in 1992 when I was a member of the Board of Directors at the Ossington/Old Orchard Wilderness Garden. David was hired to work on this large-scale schoolyard naturalization project. David's expertise in native plants, design and environmentally sound cultural practises was invaluable and allowed the project to be successfully completed. David worked well with a diverse and difficult client group (teachers, parents, administrators and children). A few years later, I hired David to renovate my own garden. He designed and built a garden that suits me perfectly and provides ongoing pleasure for my family and I. The work was done quickly and on budget.

Since that time I have had the pleasure of maintaining two properties that Sunarts has designed. Both are environmentally sensitive to their area as well as being very beautiful. David has used native plants to relate these gardens to their surroundings. Meticulous soil preparation has resulted in healthy, vibrant gardens. In his work David has shown a strong ability to be able to design aesthetically pleasing landscapes for difficult and challenging sites. Throughout the years I have often relied on David for technical advice and information. His illustrated lectures on using native plant material in the landscape are well researched, informative and entertaining. I would recommend Sunarts Design highly and without reservation.
